MSAR is classified as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization by the standards of the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). We survive solely on donations and volunteers; we do not charge for our services. Our volunteers pay for their own personal gear & equipment and expenses out of pocket, but we need funds for basic operations (phone, website & tech, PO Box, etc.), additional resources (radios & other comms, basecamp & training supplies), and occasional travel expenses for training or neighbor island searches.

We welcome monetary and in-kind donations of equipment, supplies, or services (copies. professional counsel & skills). Please contact us if you are interested in providing services or equipment.
